Life-time conservatory warranty.
I have been reading that certain conservatory companies have started to introduce “Life time warranties” to their conservatories. This is surely a ridiculous proposition as everything degrades over time and there is no way of constructing a conservatory that does not degrade.
What do these companies think they’ll achieve?
The average well-built conservatory might have a life of between 10 – 15 years maximum and when they do start to wear out, this is normally due to the rubber seals failing. Rubber by nature only has a certain shelf life before it becomes brittle, due to sunlight, temperature changes, etc, so there is no-way that any conservatory company can come back and change all the rubber seals in your conservatory - 15 years after the conservatory was built and paid for.
I would be amazed if any conservatory company could offer and follow through with this type of offer.
